Before you start
Introduction
Motor Controller is the Windows application for Redler Rayon motor drives. It connects to a drive over a serial port or a CAN adapter, identifies it, and lets you configure it, calibrate the motor, command motion, watch live signals and maintain the drive (parameters, firmware, backups). It comes in two editions built on the same engine:
- Motor Controller Pro : the engineering edition, for bench and field engineers who set up and tune drives.
- Motor Controller Lite : the operator edition, for machine operators and integrators who run and look after drives that are already set up.
This manual covers both. Use the Show for: Pro / Lite switch at the top of the contents to show only the edition you use; the next section, which compares them, always shows both. The Screenshots: Dark / Light switch shows the screenshots in the application's dark or light theme. This manual describes Motor Controller Pro 2.1 and Motor Controller Lite 1.0.
